Medical Coating - Lubricious Coating
BaymedixTM CL - lubricious coatings featuring a very low coefficient of friction (typically <0.03) and excellent durability. The coatings are grown directly from the activated surface of a medical device, resulting in exceptional adhesion and the possibility to coat challenging surfaces like the lumens of catheters. The process for application is aqueous and readily scalable.

Key features of Baymedix CL 100, lubricious coating
- Strong and durable
- Highly lubricious
- Bio- and hemocompatible (In vitrocytotoxicity and hemolysis tested according to ISO 10993)
- Very thin (less than 10µm)
- Particularly suitable for inner lumen catheter coatings
- No geometrical restrictions
Key features of Baymedix CL 300, lubricious coating
- Highly lubricious: COF <0.02
- Excellent water retention: dryout time 8-10 minutes
- Non-sensitizing, non-cytotoxic and non-irritant (Sensitization, in vitro cytotoxicity, and intracutaneous irritation tested according to ISO 10993)
- Capacity to incorporate antimicrobial agents
- Particularly suitable for coating PVC
