Hydrophilic Coatings
Hydrophilic coatings of the BaymedixTM CH series show low swelling in water and a particular hemocompatibility. These coatings are supplied either as aqueous dispersions or in mild solvent solutions, allowing simple dip or spray application processes.
Key Features of Baymedix CH: Hydrophilic Polyurethane Coatings
- Hydrophilic surface: reduced friction, improved biocompatibility
- Strong and durable like traditional polyurethane coatings
- Low-swelling (< 25% by mass)
- Retain mechanical properties when hydrated (see table for details)
- Hemocompatibility exceeds other medical polyurethanes
- Applicable by standard dip- or spray coating processes
